Tire Wear Patterns and Causes
Air Pressure:
Over inflated tires will wear out the center of the tire.
Under inflated tires will wear out the sides of the tire.
Cupping:
If a tire is out of balance or you have bad shocks you will get cupping.
The tire is coming up off the road and then back down on the road.
When the tire hits the road that part of the tire is worn.
Alignment:
Improper alignment will wear out the inside or outside of the tire.
Negative Toe is Toe In
Positive Toe is Toe Out
Negative Camber is the tire is in at the top.
Positive Camber is the tire is out at the top.
Toe will have more wear on the tires than camber.
