SCCC First Annual Picnic
Today was the Sun Country Corvette Club 1st Annual Picnic. The picnic was held at the Paloma Community Park in Peoria. I for one didn't even realize that there was a park located here. On the occasions that I have driven by this area I thought that I was driving by one of the 100 year flood control berms. As we drove up and over the berm suddenly we saw a park laid out in front of us. What a surprise!!! Great find John & Beverly. This picnic was captained by John & Beverly Seeger and really seemed to come off without a hitch. The main part of the food was catered and had a barbeque theme with everyone else contributing side dishes. Beverly had reserved three ramada's for us. This insured that we were all able to sit in the shade and Mother Nature provided us with a very pleasant breeze. I am sure that everyone would like to know how many people were in attendance. Well, I tried to count noses but people wouldn't stand still long enough for that to work. Next I decided to count ears and divide by 2. As near as I could tell we were very near 50 sets of ears.Since everyone had a great time and the venue was a beautiful surprise plus the food was terrific and very bountiful I would certainly say that the 1st Annual SCCC Picnic a great time success.Thank you John & Beverly Seeger for all of your efforts on behalf on the Club and its Members.
