SCCC Tortilla Flats outing
On Wednesday morning, January 19.2022, SCCC took our club's scheduled Drive and Dine to Tortilla Flats. We had a total of 12 Corvettes try to stay within eyesight of each other during the morning rush hour on interstate 10, Lol. Once we cleared the downtown area we found we had split into two groups for the rest of the trip. The drive was extremely nice with some beautiful scenery as there was a lot of green that we topically don't see here in the valley. The views of Canyon Lake with a clear blue sky and no wind were fantastic. Before we entered Tortilla Flats we drove across 2 single lane, old metal bridges with the lake on both sides. At one point the marina was off to our left and below us. When we arrived in town we were able to park all 12 cars in front of the restaurant. We were all able to be seated and served our food with no issues. Following lunch, we broke into individual groups for sightseeing, shopping, and just spending time enjoying the afternoon. We want to thank Ben and Sue Dyer for doing an outstanding job putting this event together for us. If you've never been to Tortilla Flats, I would highly recommend that you put it on your must see list. It is a really nice day trip and thanks again to Ben and Sue.Great Job!!!
