Saturday, February 5th, Meet & Eat for All Members at I & J Fountain Restaurant
Dinner, dancing & live entertainment. Come join us for an evening of fun. Due to the size of the restaurant and the popularity of the entertainer we are limited to 20 people so PLEASE sign-up individually . Bret Kaiser is an Elvis impersonator but will be singing some Elvis, rock & roll, crooner, blues etc. His shows always sellout so do not wait to sign-up or you will miss out. Last night SCCC attended a dinner & show planned by Judy Haney for the club. The restaurant limited us to a total of 20 attendees and we had 18. The entertainment was an Elvis look-a-like & impersonator. While last nights show was not not his typical Elvis show, it was his birthday and the music consisted of a variety of music from the 40s - 70s. The entertainer had a group of family members in the audience including Mom & Dad. Elvis was in full regalia including sparkles and scarves. A number of "ladies" and I use the expression very loosely were personally tipping Elvis in the hopes of being rewarded with one of his scarves or even a hug. While the Sun Country Corvette Women showed perfect decorum "more or less", I did notice some ladies at another table across the room sniffing Elvis' scarf. Really funny to watch and of course quite embarrassing for their significant others. Boy were they enjoying themselves. As always the food was very good and the entertainment was terrific and enjoyable.I would like to personally thank Judy for putting this together for the club. Judy you did a tremendous job. I know the effort it takes to put an event together and the hassle keeping the kittens pointed in the right direction. Thanks a bunch for all of your hard work. For those of you that think this sounds like fun we do have another dinner show coming up to Barleen's in Apache Junction on Saturday March 5th., the price is $42 per person. Sign-up on the SCCC Teamup calendar and get a check to Linda Stutgen.
