Barleen's Rockin & Rollin Though the years
I just wanted to say thanks Linda and Dick for captaining our Sun Country Corvette Club's visit to Barleens Dinner and Show this past Saturday. It was once again a very fun filled day as we ended up with a total of 27 members in attendance. We had 11 Corvettes (plus one pickup truck) in our caravan as we drove over to Apache Junction where we met up with 3 of our members that live on the east side of town. It was a great event for the club as Linda had made all the arrangements in advance and all we had to do was seat ourselves. As they say at Barleens, "Life is Short, eat dessert first!" so Barleens had their traditional Chocolate Cake placed out for us at each of our 3 plus tables. The menu was pretty simple as there wasn't one and we all ate a delicious meal highlighted with Pot Roast, Chicken and Ribs, and some members followed up with Ice Cream at the intermission. This year's live musical show was "Rockin & Rollin thru the Years" and they kept us all entertained for about 2 1/2 hours bringing back a lot of memories with the music. It was a great show that had us all rocking in our chairs and even a couple of our members dancing in the aisle. If you were unable to be with us this time around, please plan on attending when we go back in the future. Thank again to Linda and Dick for arranging your first club event. This turned out to be a very enjoyable day for the club and hopefully you guys will host many more. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
