Men only lunch & day trip to Dwarf Car Museum & Raceway Bar & Grill; May 18, 2022
On Wednesday May 18th, Ben Dyer organized and lead our men's luncheon and field trip. The SCCC group left Tolleson at 9:00am and proceeded south on Interstate 10 to the town of Maricopa, about 60 miles away. A few miles outside of town they met with the owner/builder/originator of the Dwarf Car, Ernie Adams.Ernie has made a name for himself building Dwarf Race Cars and scaled down replicas of classic cars called Dwarf Car Cruisers. These handmade works of art are all on display at his shop in Maricopa. After spending time at the museum, the group then went back into Maricopa and had lunch at the Raceway bar and Grill. We want to thank Ben for putting all this together and providing us with another new and rewarding experience for the club. If your a car buff, the dwarf car museum should be on your list of places to visit as Ernie is a true craftsman... He does not build these cars for sale only for his enjoyment. He has driven the 1949 Mercury over 30,000 miles and I can verify that the 49 Merc goes inexcess of 65 mph as I followed him a few years ago between Kingman and Wickenburg. Below are pictures of some of the cars at the museum.Thank you again Ben,If you would like additional information you can visit their website at;www.dwarfcarmuseum.com
