Last week I sent you all an email detailing a morning gathering at Tivoli Gardens to celebrate SCCC's favorite waitress Gina Costarella receiving a surprise award from our local NBC TV Channel 12. For all this to happen, Glenn Scott from our club deserves the credit. He was the one who brought us the information and all the details that we needed. We then forwarded that information out to the club members and had over 40 members send in their nominations.We had a great turnout as there were over 50 people in attendance, mostly our club members but we were also joined by members of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club as they had nominated Gina as well. The TV news crew arrived a little past 10:00am. Attached are a few pictures that were taken by Sharon Johnson that show the activities as Gina was awarded Server of the Week and received a check from Channel 12 for $2000.00 ,,,,,, Congratulations Gina, You are the Best!!!! According to the TV producer, it will be a week or two before they edit and then air this event. Once I receive information from her, I will forward it on to all. She said that if we aren't able to see it live on either of their morning or evening news shows, they will also have a link to allow us to view it at any time. I can only put a few pictures on this email but Sharon Johnson has posted all of the pictures onto our club Facebook account at Sun Country Corvette Club.Final note: To all members, I want to thank you for your continued involvement with SCCC. Without your support, nothing that this club does would ever happen. Thank you again for making this such a special day for Gina.
